Vision

I'm glad you are here. This web site outlines a vision I have for a new band playing an uncommon type of music with an uncommon message. Well, at least I think it's uncommon in popular circles. It's a vision for both a new band and the community surrounding it. I'm looking for people who see something that they would like to be involved in. I've outlined the elements of what I'm looking for below. If this intrigues you, read on.

Basically, I envision a healthy group of powerful, creative, trustworthy artistic people who work together effectively and joyfully. I also envision a community around this group to assist.

I'm interested in getting a band together, writing music, gigging and recording locally and then making the jump to doing this as a well paid career. I'm looking at doing this a "smarter" way. That is, the internet and home recording technology has changed the playing field. I believe there are ways to get this done without the traditional "eating macraroni and cheese while playing dive clubs" method of making it in music. I believe that with your help and energy we will find those ways together.

What's in this for you as band or community member?

1. Other talented, creative and passionate artists.
2. People who want to be successful and well paid while doing what they love to do.
3. People who are willing to work create something extraordinary instead of ordinary.
4. People who cocreate together. People can alternately lead and follow as it makes sense for themselves and for the group.
5. People who genuinely care about themselves and each other. They seek to live by principles and heart combined.
6. Where you can grow as a person and individual as well as a musician and member of a group.
7. Where conflicts are dealt with and resolved rather than be avoided, fester and eventually blow up.
8. Where you are listened to by the other members around you.
9. Where drugs and alcohol are not necessary to bury the pain of underlying issues.
10. Where the community around the band assists with promoting, supporting and providing inspiration for the band itself.
11. Where the band can grow into something that we all do for a living.

Music

It's not something I've heard in other places. Actually, please email me if you know of other people who write this type of music. Music is fun and stands just on it's own without the lyrics. Catchy and fun. Style. Major funk influences mixed with melodic rock.

Think Tower of Power meets Larry Graham meets Billy Joel meets Extreme meets Boston.

Lyrics

Good songwriting techniques used, Honesty, underlying effective spiritual (not religious) message, avoid cliché, often evokes emotion of fun, lightness and entertainment even though has a serious underlying message.

SHORT VERSION: The purpose of the lyric message is to raise the conciousness of the world through invited introspection. At the same time, the song as a whole is fun and entertaining just by itself. It's bridgebuilding music to a higher state of conciousness.
